On 7th July 2006, our representative Rtr Dawn Cheong went to Thailand for Thammasat University Rotaract Club installation. She was also there for the signing of our sister club agreement.
We had hosted the Rotaractors from Thammasat University last year in November 2005. They were here for a 5-day recreational visit with the Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club of NUS and our club. During this period of time, all of us enjoyed each other’s company and this was how the idea of forming a sister club came into picture.
It is a 1-year agreement between the two clubs. It is also the first time that our club has a sister club in Thailand. We are looking forward to getting to know the Thai Rotaractors better and hope that we will have a fruitful year ahead.
